IPL 2024 schedule
Only the schedule IPL 2024 for the first 21 matches through April 7 has been made available by the BCCI, as the dates of India’s general elections have not yet been announced.
On March 22, the reigning champion Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore will play their first IPL 2024 match at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium.
Parts of the IPL’s first round, which spans 21 games from March 22 to April 7, were made public on Thursday. The Men’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to start in the USA and the Caribbean on June 1st, and the much-anticipated IPL final on May 26th will be separated by just five days.
An opening match is scheduled of the 2024 IPL at 8:00 PM IST to kick off the competition. Every other match will start at the scheduled hours; on doubleheader days, the evening games will start at 7:30 PM IST, and the morning games at 3:30 PM IST.
The initial schedule called for four doubleheaders, two on consecutive Saturdays. On March 23, Bengal Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad will play at Eden Gardens following the Punjab Kings’ home game against the Delhi Capitals.
The Rajasthan Royals and the Lucknow Super Giants are set to play their debut game on March 24. The Mumbai Indians, led by Hardik Pandya, will take on the Gujarat Titans in the opening game of their season. Two days later, the Titans, last season’s runners-up, will kick off their campaign, which means that for the fourth six editions, time in neither of the two finalists from the previous season will play in the first match
